The Music Box Initiative
We know the power that music holds for connecting older adults. With the support of our Aerie Changemakers funding, we’re providing $10 000 worth of instruments to long-term care, retirement, and community programs for older adults in Ontario.
There are two ways to request instruments:
1) The Music Box
These include pre-selected and easy-to-use instruments, like rhythm sticks, chimes, and shaker eggs. These boxes are designed for retirement and long-term care homes, or community groups that serve older adults.
2) Individual Instruments
This funding is used to send out specially requested instruments to retirement and long-term care homes, or community groups that serve older adults. Older adults living at home in the community can also apply to receive an individual instrument.
